Wando Students Participating in Honor Band of America

HBOAWando High School students Tyler Demsheck, Nikolai Mukhin, Kofi Mosley-Vellum, Davis Ginn, Trevor Kimberly and Ethan Rabb will join other outstanding musicians from across the nation as part of Music for All's 2018 Honor Band of America and Honor Orchestra of America.  
The students were selected from numerous applicants across the nation through an audition process for membership in these prestigious honor ensembles.
"To be selected from among their peers for membership in this national ensemble is a great achievement and honor, " says Debbie Lafferty Asbill, Vice President of Marketing and Communications for Music for All.  "The 2018 Honor Band of America members are ambassadors of America's music programs, as well as their states, schools and communities."
The students are members of the Wando High School Symphonic Band under the direction of Bobby Lambert, Lanie Radecke and Jeff Handel.
The Honor Band of America is comprised of students from 23 states representing 69 high schools, and will perform in concert at 8:00 p.m. March 17 at Clowes Memorial Hall, located on the campus of Butler University.  Members will also participate in instrumental master classes and other gala Festival events and socials.
The Honor Orchestra of America students come from 22 states representing 55 high schools, and will perform in concert at 8:00 p.m. on March 16 and 17.  On Friday they will perform at Clowes Memorial Hall.  On Saturday the Honor Orchestra of America will perform at Schrott Center for the Performing Arts on the Butler University campus.
