Welcome to Pre-Advanced Placement:  Three-Dimensional Design!

This course is designed for advanced students who may be planning art-oriented careers.  Students will prepare the breadth section of the AP portfolio in Pre-Advanced Placement during the fall term. The emphasis of the course will include skill development in the areas of conceptualized and aesthetic criticism as well as in perception and art production.  Various media and techniques will be explored in different lessons and exercises throughout the semester.  Students are challenged to produce creative, sophisticated, and well-crafted art work of the quality required in the breadth section of an Advanced Placement portfolio. Students are expected to register for Advanced Placement Studio Art:  Three-Dimensional Design in the spring and will prepare the concentration section of the AP portfolio during this term.
