Hi!  My name is Callie "VK" Dollahon and I will be teaching Earth Science this year at Wando.  I graduated from USC with a degree in Marine Science in 2007 and have a Masters in Education from the College of Charleston. I spent 2010-2011 living in Copenhagen, Denmark, as part of a Fulbright Research Grant studying the implementation of authentic and interdisciplinary content standards in science education.

I am passionate about science and STEAM Education, and I absolutely love teaching at Wando.  I am part of the Wando Digital Learning Cohort and use Google Chromebooks and tools in my curriculum.  I was fortunate to be able to use my work here at Wando to publish a chapter on using digital tools and technology in a research publication called Cases on STEAM Education in Practice.  I strive to make data based decisions for the growth of all our students.

I am married and live with my husband who is in the Air Force, our temperamental cat, and energetic lab puppy.  Life is always an adventure with them.  I enjoy running, and my favorite place to jog is the Cooper River Bridge.  My hobbies range from carpentry to quilting to languages and travel.
