Criteria: Graduating senior planning to attend the College of Charleston and major in Education. Letter of acceptance must be included with the scholarship application.
Deadline: April 21st, 2017. Applications must be submitted to Sherrie Beaver in the Wando School Counselor Office by 4 pm on the 21st.

Community or Civic Organization Scholarships
Criteria: African American or Black Student pursuing a degree in arts including theater, drama, comedy, music, dance, opera, marching band, ect….

Criteria: Student pursing a degree in Visual Arts

Mr. Kutcher, a Wando math teacher, passed away from pancreatic cancer in July of 2012. This scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior who has “battled great adversity and overcome it with grace, enthusiasm and positivity”.

Joe Kutcher Memorial Scholarship Information and Application
Tywanza Sanders was a victim of the Emanuel AME Church shooting. This scholarship honors his legacy and commitment to educations.
Criteria: Graduating senior who plan to attend a 4 year college, who demonstrate financial need and have a minimum 2.5 GPA.
Deadline: June 9th, 2017
Award Amount: $5000

“Gracies’ Life Scholarship” was established to honor the life of Gracie Benjamin, who has a deep passion for taking care of others.

Applicants wills submit application form along with a film they post to their personal Instagram accounts. Films should be a one minute video that responds to one of several prompts listed in the website that encourage students to think creatively and critically about the role of government.”

Details: Students will submit a short video (maximum 4 minutes) that answers two questions about the importance of sleep and ways to improve sleep. Description: The South Carolina Automobile Dealers Association will award this scholarship. Preference will be given to applicants who show an interest and desire to work for a SC Dealership upon completion of their degree.

Criteria: Students, or a parent/sibling, who have been diagnosis of a debilitating illness, who show financial need. Students must have a minimum 3.0 on the 4.0 scale and plan to attend a 2 year or 4 year college.
