Johnston, Steven

Welcome!  I'm Steven Johnston, and I teach in  the World Languages department at Wando High School and sometimes teach History courses as well.  I moved to Charleston after teaching in Savannah, Georgia.  I'm originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and graduated with several degrees from the University of Pittsburgh.  I've spent many years traveling in Europe and visiting France in particular.  I'm interested in European History and foreign languages.  I speak French and some German and love to travel to new places to learn about history, cultures, and languages.

Access to Courses Online

To find all assignments, documents, and information about a course, please go to  This is a website that I use that provides a safe and secure private internet resource for students to chat in discussions, see assignments, see notes / alerts about class, and review documents from class.  You'll need a special code to access the site which I will provide you with in class.  Parents, you may access the site as well if you contact me and request the code.
