Destini Fleming

Destini Nichol Fleming is a first year teacher at Wando High School in the Theatre Department. She has moved to Mount Pleasant from her hometown of Jefferson City, TN (near Knoxville).

She graduated in May 2015 from Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk, NC with her Bachelors in Theatre Arts Education with a minor in English. She performed throughout her college career in shows such as Legally Blonde:The Musical, Pride and Prejudice, Rumors, and Reckless, among many others. She has worked in professional theatre as a stage manager, props mistress, and box office assistant for Tennessee Stage Company, Lees-McRae Summer Theatre, and In/Visible Theatre. She completed her student teaching at Watauga High School in Boone, North Carolina where she was able to pursue her passion for directing with the shows The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) [Abridged] and Tell Me That You Love Me, Junie Moon. Destini loves every aspect of theatre and considers every role (on the stage, behind the curtains, in the booth, in the house, in the shop, etc, etc., and etc.) to be vital to the process and experience of creating a theatrical work. She loves to share her passion for all theatre arts with all students!
