My name is Leslee Gordon and I'm excited to be joining the staff here at Wando. I've been here in Charleston, for the most part since 1998. I attended the College of Charleston and majored in marine biology. I then worked for about four and a half years at General Engineering Labs doing radio- chemistry work. I attained my professional teaching credentials through the PACE program of South Carolina and taught biology and environmental science at West Ashley High School. I then taught biology and preparatory science overseas at a private school in Istanbul, Turkey (Uskudar Amerikan Lisei) for one year. The last five years I've spent at Christ Our King Stella Maris School, teaching Earth Science, and Life Science. I have a red-bone coon hound named Jethro that I spend a lot of time with at the beach and the local parks. I also love to fish and enjoy the local music scene here in town. I'm very excited to be back at a high school and part of a science department again!
