Personal Health and Wellness
Carolina health curriculum standards represent a
commitment to improving the health of all students. Health-literate students will have the
capacity to obtain, interpret, and use basic health information to enhance the
health of their own body and help those around them make better choices. This course will assist students in making
wise decisions as they evolve physically, mentally, and socially. Personal Health and Wellness has been
formatted strictly to teenagers and the experiences they may encounter
throughout their high school and even college careers.
This course is designed to assist ninth graders with the transition from middle school to high school. Course content will include life skills, career exploration, character education, and organizational skills.
