I was born in Hanover, Kansas in 1963 into a family of six children. I graduated from Marymount College with a degree in Physical Education. I worked at a special education center; I coached basketball at a middle school and track at a high school for three years before pursuing a Master’s Degree in Special Education at Kansas State University. I taught at Manhattan High School for five years and coached volleyball prior to moving to Salisbury, North Carolina. I was a support teacher at Erwin Middle School for the past twenty-one years. I have a daughter who will be attending NC State this fall to work on her Master’s Degree in Math Finance. I enjoy playing golf and love traveling to new and exciting places.
