Advanced Placement English Literature and Composition is a college-level course in writing and literary study, following the curricular requirements described in the
AP English Course DescriptionIt will prepare you for the Advanced Placement exam given in May, for which you may receive college credit, as well as introduce you to the kinds of reading, writing, research and presentation assignments that you can expect as a college freshman.  Students in this course will study a variety of literary works from a critical perspective, working to refine their literary analysis skills and master literary vocabulary.  This course assumes that students are highly capable readers and writers, interested in participating in a rigorous dialogue of ideas and desiring an intellectually challenging program.  Students will be expected to read and write extensively, composing in a variety of forms including timed writings, literary analysis essays, and documented research papers.

We will use "Google Classroom" and "Remind" for assignments, information, instructions, due dates, uploaded documents, and AP Practice Tests with links to helpful websites.  Mrs. Carico will distribute passwords for Google Classroom and Remind to all students in her classes.  Parents who would like a password may email Mrs. Carico:
